Making your own vegan mayonnaise is super easy, only takes 2 minutes and you only need 4 ingredients to make it. Plus, it tastes just like regular mayonnaise! You won’t notice a difference, so be sure to give it a try!
For your vegan mayonnaise, you only need these four ingredients: soy milk, mustard, salt and vegetable oil. First, mix the soy milk with the salt and mustard in a tall container. Then, sip by sip, add the oil to the milk mixture and blend until the consistency is right. It’s great how easy it is, isn’t it?
The most important thing is that you really use soy milk. Oat milk or almond milk will not work. If you have a soy intolerance, you can use whipped chickpea water as an alternative.
Vegan mayonnaise is a great base for a variety of salads, like my vegan chickpea salad. Or simply use it as a sauce or dip. If you want you can additionally add garlic for an aioli flavor, some lemon or even chili.
Of course, vegan mayonnaise also contains a lot of oil and should therefore be consumed and in moderation. However, you can still say that it is healthier than store-bought mayonnaise. Because it contains fewer additives and preservatives and no animal fats. Plus, you can decide on the amount of salt yourself.
It really only takes a few minutes to make your own vegan mayonnaise. So there are no excuses not to do it.
